Harper Industries Announces New Leadership

Product demand, community needs and business development are the driving factors in rural jobs today. This is echoed at Harper Industries, Inc., a specialized manufacturing company in south central Kansas, with a near 15 percent increase in employment through their first quarter. This increase has led to the demand of an expanded leadership team, working to guide the company forward.

“We have identified four keys areas in our business in which we are executing strategic plans to pursue future growth,” shared Tim Penner, President of Harper Industries. “While each of the four initiatives focus on different portions of our business, we feel that the persons filling these leadership roles aligns their strengths to achieve company growth and effectiveness.”

Tavish Hall has been promoted to Vice President, Controller. Hall is a CPA and has served Harper as the Assistant Controller since 2012.

Jennifer Rose has been promoted to Vice President of Information Technology. Rose has served as Harper’s Controller since 2012, and led software initiatives over the past ten years.

Harper Industries is also pleased to announce the appointment of Ryan Haar to the position of Service Manager. Haar is a Kansas native with extensive experience in agricultural and construction engineering. He came to Harper from Agco Corporation in Hesston, where he was part of the combine design team.

“Throughout all the changes, manufacturing challenges and business opportunities we have experienced in the last few years, our average tenure remains just over ten years,” explained Human Resources Manager, Angie Higgs. “For a company of our size, located just 45 miles from a manufacturing hub, this is a number we are proud of.”
